The design
Form, material and finish
It lets people compose their own hardware. Choose a ball, oval or mushroom knob, then a backplate to sit behind it: round, oval, square, scalloped, star or flower. Every pairing works because every piece shares the same polished finish under a clear protective lacquer.
This is where my background in brass manufacturing matters most.
