Colour and finish library
Glazes, tints and finishes are designed as families, so pieces work together across a home.

Glaze families

Six glazes run through the scallop shell hook and the oval knob and handle, so pieces from different rooms still belong together.

Colour pairings

On the daisy hook the petals and the centre are glazed in two different colours, so each version carries its own contrast.

Speckled reactive glaze

A speckled glaze that runs darker at the edges and lighter across the face. It moves in the kiln, so no two knobs come out quite the same.

Glass tints

Tints chosen to sit together on one piece of furniture, with clear glass showing the form at its sharpest.

Polished brass

Solid brass, polished and finished under a clear protective lacquer. Every knob and backplate shares the same finish, so any pairing works.

Metal finishes

One solid brass knob, three finishes. The round cabinet knob is made in polished brass, buffed to a mirror shine, aged brass, darkened to a soft patina that deepens with handling, and satin brass, brushed to a low-sheen glow. None of them is lacquered, so each one mellows with use. The same thinking runs across my metal pieces, from rose brass to polished chrome.
