The design
Form, material and finish
The glaze is the point of this piece. It is speckled and runs darker at the edges and lighter across the face, so the scallops show up in the colour as well as the shape. No two knobs come out of the kiln quite the same.
It comes in cobalt blue, black over a pale blue-grey face, soft blush pink and pale sea green.
